Food was great. We were there for the second time today and certainly not the last time. Price / performance ratio more than okay. And plenty on the plate. We got a greeting from the kitchen and shared an appetizer. Therefore we did not manage the super delicious main course.

Good home cooking with a nice fish content. Moderate prices, P / L well maintained. Simple, simple, friendly and good.

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere. Had the day court. Pork neck Steak with potato pancake and fresh wild mushroom sauce. Very delicious. In addition a Bock beer. Only recommended.

On our bike tour along the Glan-Blies bike paths, we spontaneously turned here. Was a good decision. The food was excellent in taste, the service was nice and the price-performance ratio was very good.

Great food - service friendly. With high customer traffic one has to adjust to somewhat longer waiting times.

I have eaten at this restaurant twice. The first time the food was ok. Today I clearly had a bug in my salad and the waiter/owner tried to tell me it was an onion. I ordered my steak medium and it was over cooked. I did enjoy the bread and herb butter served before the meal, the atmosphere was nice. If you can overlook the lie the wait staff was friendly. Over all, I would not return on my own. on a side note, I paid for the meal without complaining to the waiter. I was not trying to get a free meal. I asked about the bug to make sure it was not something that would make me sick.

We have eaten here 5 times now and enjoyed every meal we have had. Glantalsnitzel is definitely a favourite. The owner is very friendly and the restaurant is traditional and has a nice atmosphere. The menu is delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend!

This was our favorite restaurant in Germany. Herr Klein would help us practice our German, but his English was excellent. But we didn't really go to Zum Alten Wasserwerk for the company. We went for the food. The schnitzel is fantastic, the bread is excellent and we loved both the schmaltz and herb butter to go on it, and the salad is very good. The bratkartoffeln set the bar, and the kids love the spaetzle with rahm sauce. Wehnesday is schnitzel night, which makes it a great time to go, but any night this is a great meal at a great price. Call ahead and get reservations for Knepps once a month, amazingly tasty, filling, and inexpensive.

Fantastic salads, entrees, great specials throughout the week. Wednesday is schnitzel night! Worth the drive if you live near base. Wonderful atmosphere and staff that are English friendly. Come on by!

I used to live in here in the 80's/early 90's. I used to spend a lot of time in the Wasserwerks and have many fond memories of that place and the people of Godelhausen. I made many great friends there, and I miss them.
